Innovation: State ready to support inventors, says Benyounes

ALGIERS –State readiness to "support the inventors" was underlined in Algiers by Minister of Industrial Development and Investment Promotion, Amara Benyounes.

"The public authorities will support inventors and innovative SMEs to build the first prototypes of their inventions," he affirmed during the opening ceremony of the National Show of Innovation, held from 8 to10 December in Exhibition Centre in Algiers.

Benyounes urged the inventors to find partners to transform their ideas into “economically viable” projects, inviting the national companies to visit this show with a view to forge industrial partnerships with those inventors, who often find difficulties to concretize their projects on the ground, due to lack of means.

At least 40 inventors and 16 small companies participate in this show placed under the theme "innovation, key of competitiveness."

Awards for innovation and invention rewarding the best works of research and innovation will be awarded to the best inventors at the end of the show.

The show, organized on the occasion of the National Day of Innovation celebrated annually on December 7, bring together innovative SMEs having participated in different editions of the National Innovation Award, the inventors holding patents and institutions supporting companies such as the National Institute of Industrial Property (INAPI) and the National Agency for development of SMEs (ANDPME).
