Algeria determined to resume industrialization process
CONSTANTINE (Algeria)- Minister of Industry, SMEs and Investment Promotion Cherif Rahmani said Tuesday in Constantine (432 km east of Algiers) that the purpose of Algeria new industrial policy ’’aims at establishing the foundations for genuine regional economic power, breaking with all forms of dependency, by moving resolutely towards the resumption of the process of industrialization."
Speaking at a regional meeting on industrial production, held at Malek Haddad Culture Palace and combining sector managers and operators of 16 provinces of Algeria north-east region, Rahmani said the government will put all ways to’’ reinvent the domestic industry and fight the primacy of import which tends to marginalize local production.’’
The minister referred to the government commitment, to achieve progressively increasing optimization of national productive device, the utilization rate is currently estimated at 50 percent.
In this regard, the State calls for ’’the removal of constraints on the economic operators and managers and depreciate the industrial production, to move forward in the direction of the growth, production development and know-how.”
