Business climate: Indian businessmen hail  “outstanding progress” made by Algeria

ALGIERS- Outstanding progress has been made by Algeria for the improvement of internal business environment, said Monday in Algiers the head of Indian Businessmen Delegation, K.S Mani on the occasion of a business forum between economic operators from the two countries.

“The efforts made by the Algerian authorities to increase the country’s attractiveness are to be hailed. Outstanding progress was recorded,” said Mani on the sidelines of this business meeting.

According to the Indian businessman, There are many investment opportunities in Algeria for companies seeking to be present in the “promising” market.

Underlining his country’s willingness to strengthen its economic ties with Algeria, Mani said that the forum aims at boosting Algerian-Indian economic relations and discussing partnership opportunities in several fields.

Mani said that Indian businessmen are ready to seize the opportunities offered by Algeria to establish business relations in all sectors.

The volume of bilateral trade significantly increased in the past ten years, moving from US$ 55 million in 2001 up to US$ 3.4 billion in 2011, the source added.
