Manufacturing in Algeria of Massey-Ferguson tractors, a driver for job creation
CONSTANTINE (Algeria)- The Algerian-US partnership on Massey-Ferguson tractors manufacturing in Algeria "is meant to be a driver for job creation, notably by the development of sub-contracting," Minister for Industry, SMEs and Investment Promotion Cherif Rahmani declared
Monday in Constantine. In addition to 700 jobs to be created as part of this joint venture, "new workstations will be ensured by SMEs activating in the field of mechanic subcontracting," the minister told a news conference held at the end of his working visit to Constantine.
The Algerian Tractors Company (ATC) created in Oued Hamimime (Constantine) under this partnership, will result in the creation of several SMEs specializing in sub-contracting which will "boost" national market of job, said Rahmani.
