Algerian-German Joint Committee: Bouchouareb calls for more investments in Algeria

 

 

ALGIERS- Minister of Industry and Mining Abdesslam Bouchouareb called Tuesday, in Algiers, during the 6th meeting of the Algerian-German Joint Committee, for more productive German investments in Algeria, recalling that Germany is an “important” economic partner for industrial development in Algeria.

“Algeria considers Germany as an important economic partner, that is why we invite it to invest more and to be more present on the Algerian market,” said Bouchouareb at the works of the committee.

After expressing his satisfaction regarding the level of bilateral cooperation since the creation of the joint committee in 2011, he added that all the German side’s opinions and observations were taken into account in order to promote cooperation between Algeria and Germany in all sectors.

Bouchouareb also underlined “the seriousness that marked the in camera meetings to achieve concrete results that will open up greater bilateral economic relations outlook.”

For his part, the German Parliamentary State Secretary to the federal ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy Uwe Karl Beckmeyer dubbed Algeria “a friend” country with which Germany has a fruitful partnership, announcing that the works of the committee will culminate in mutually beneficial strategic projects able to strengthen the bilateral relations in the future.

He also expressed his wish to see his country contribute to the diversification of the Algerian economy through the creation of new industries that create jobs and training of young Algerians.
