Algeria, Turkey ink partnership agreement on integrated textile complex project




RELIZANE (Algeria)- Minister of Industry and Mining Abdeslam Bouchouareb on Thursday  chaired, in Relizane (300-km southwest of Algiers), the signing ceremony of an Algerian-Turkish partnership agreement about an integrated textile complex project in this south-western province.

The agreement was signed by the chief executive officer of the national public group of clothing industry CH, Mohamed Bouchama, and the CEO of the Turkish group, Taypa Mesut Toprak.

The complex project, to be launched next November, will include eight integrated plants to specialize in the manufacturing of material and hosiery items, a training school in textile trades as well as a business centre and various other facilities.

It will be delivered in 36 months from its launch and is expected to create 25,000 jobs.

Estimated at DZD150 billion, the project is due to meet the needs of national market.

Forty percent of the production is to go to the domestic market while 60 percent will be exported.
