Next tripartite to focus on promoting national production

ALGIERS- The next tripartite (government, UGTA, employers), scheduled for October 2015 in Biskra, will give a special interest to the promotion of the national production, said Wednesday in Algiers Minister of Industry and Mining Abdessalam Bouchouareb.

The minister made a speech in the preparatory meeting of this tripartite, in the presence of Secretary General of the General Union of Algerian Workers (UGTA) Abdelmadjid Sidi Said and representatives of public and private employers’ organizations.

In addition to the files that are usually handled in the tripartite (business climate, financial real estate, bank credits, improving labour relations and working conditions, the next meeting will particularly focus on the national production, stressed Bouchouareb.

According to him, October’s tripartite is of a particular importance due to the economic situation in which it will take place and to the place where it will be held as the previous ones were all held in Algiers.

“The choice of Biskra was not fortuitous. It is a symbolic choice. It is the Prime Minister himself who chose this province because of its economic potentialities,” he noted, underlining that Biskra has become an agricultural hub and will, soon, become an industrial hub.
