Algeria, China ink several agreements, MoUs


BEIJING- Fifteen draft agreements, two agreements and a memorandum of understanding on industry, mining, agriculture and tourism were signed Tuesday in Beijing on the occasion of the Algerian-Chinese Trade and Investment Forum.

These documents were signed in presence of Prime Minister Abdelmalek Sellal, who is on a four-day official visit to China at the invitation of his Chinese counterpart Li Keqiang.

A draft agreement was signed between the Gold Mines Exploitation Company (ENOR) and the Chinese NFC on the exploitation of the gold deposits of Tirek and Tamesmessa (province of Tamanrasset) and another between the Hotel Investment Company (SIH) and China State Construction Engineering Corporation (CSCEC) for the creation of a joint venture for the building of hotel and tourism facilities.

The National Electronic Industry Company (ENIE) inked a draft agreement with the Chinese group Konka in the field of electronics, while BOMARE Company signed a partnership agreement with Shenzhen TCL New Technology Company for televisions, tablets and computers.

In the field of steel industry, the firm Moumtaza signed a partnership agreement with the Chinese Tangshan Xinhai Iron and Steel Company for the building of a steelworks, a concrete reinforcing bar plant and a steel framework plant with a production capacity of 800,000 tonnes each.

A draft agreement was inked between ALGEMATCO and LiuGong Machinery Company for the building of a plant for the manufacturing of heavy equipment, while Dendouni group signed a draft agreement with Shantui Construction Machinery for the building of a mechanical manufacturing plant.

Other agreements were signed for the building of three cement plants in the provinces of Biskra, Djelfa and Adrar.
