ALGIERS- Minister of Industry and Mines Abdesselam Bouchouareb emphasized Friday in Berlin the importance of an Algerian-German strategic partnership, calling for taking advantage of the economic potentials in both countries.
"Our basic common goal should be focused on giving a concrete expression to the aspirations and expectations of economic operators in our two nations," Bouchouareb said a closing address at the fifth Algerian-German economic session (April 15-16) in Berlin, Germany.
"We also should develop economic potentials (in the two countries) to build a first-rate partnership, a strategic partnership."
"If there is a challenge to take now and without hesitation, it's transforming (German) economic presence (in Algeria) into direct investments," Bouchouareb underlined at the meeting he co-chaired with his German counterpart, State Secretary at the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy Matthias Machnig.
