International Car Show of Algiers opens

 

ALGIERS- Minister of Industry and Mines Abdesselam Bouchouareb has inaugurated Wednesday the 18th International Car Show of Algiers which will last until 28 March in Exhibition Center.

Organized by the Algerian Company of Fairs Exhibitions (Safex) and the Association of the Algerian Car Dealers (AC2A), this year’s edition includes 54 exhibitors, including 30 dealers and 24 service firms.

This economic and trade event covers a total area of 33,955 m2.

The show, which attracted many people from the public in the early hours of the opening, was marked in particular by the exhibition, for the first time of the car Renault Symbol "made in Algeria."

Visiting several stands, the minister urged the dealers to show more professionalism, inviting them to diversify their activities turning them to sub-contracting in the field of spare parts, since the new specifications under preparation will compel them to invest in this activity.

He affirmed the public authorities’ commitment to support the investments in the field of mechanical and automobile industry.

Bouchouareb reported, moreover, that the specifications governing the activities of auto dealers will be published in April.

"The new specifications will be released within two or three weeks and its application will be strict," the minister told APS on the sidelines of the inauguration of the show.
